This scam is essentially 2 in 1 - Catfishing > Blackmail. Let me explain
A catfish account adds you off tinder, and requests to add you on IG or FB or another social media network. Then, they ask to trade nudes with you. If you are compliant, they will save your nude photos and use them to blackmail you, threatening to send your nude photos to all of your friends on the social media network that you shared with them.
Another common one that's been around since the beginning of time is the advance fee scam. People have attempted this on me 10's of times, maybe even 100's. Essentially, the scammer promises to send you a large sum of money. However, there is a catch: In order to receive the sum of money, you must first send them money in order to cover an, "Advance Fee", or for some other obscure reason. The scammer, after receiving the "Advance Fee", promptly either blocks the victim, or attempts to squeeze more money out of them.
Stay safe out there, strangers...
