Get yourself a counter top ice machine. I just picked mine up from Walmart last weekend and was real real apprehensive at first because I'll have to make over 100 pounds of ice to really justify the purchase financially, but my lord, just always having ice is amazing.
Hot coffee in the morning? Ice is already made and waiting for me steps away.
Soda too warm because you don't keep it in the fridge? Get a glass of ice and move on easily
Need cold water for an adventure? Fill your water bottle with some ice and get going.
Ever worry that the water created by melting ice might not be completely clean? You don't have to worry about that when you're making it yourself at home!
'But how does it work?' you ask? You simply fill the water tank, it pumps it up to the "fingers" which the ice forms around, then it pushes it into the basket. The old ice slowly melts back into the water tank, and it just keeps making ice until it runs out of water or gets too full.
