  • How to use GameShark codes on xStation ODE

So you've gotten your nifty new ODE installed and want to enable some cheats. No problem, right? Just load up the GameShark bin/cue files, select your codes, and go. But wait! The GameShark doesn't reset back to the ODE, it resets back to the GAMESHARK!

Wanna know how to get around that? Follow these _ simple steps:
    1. Turn on the Playstation and let it boot to the xStation menue
    2. Select the GameShark bin of your choice and select 'add to queue"
    3. Select the game you want to play and select 'add to queue'
    4. Quick load the queue or full load, it doesn't seem to matter
    5. Select your cheats
    6. Select start game with codes
    7. Open and close the drive to cycle to the next BIN in the queue
    8. Push X to start
    9. Behold the system rebooting to your freshly cheat enabled game

Apparently for the expansion port Gamesharks you don't have to do this, but I've also heard it's hit and miss if the game even works.

Bonus guide if you have a MemCard Pro:
    1. After booting the game with cheats connect to the MemCard Pro using WiFi
    2. Select 'Card Browser'
    3. Locate the VMC for the game you are playing
    4. Click the 3 dots and select "mount VMC"
If you don't do this it stays defaulted to the Gameshark VMC
