  • The end state of the vote

Driving to Thanksgiving today I was in a mind state listening to political YouTube. It struck me as I was listening to what the founders were wanting at the beginning of the country. They wanted land owners to be the primary voters (from what I understand) as land owners had a stake in the country. The thought process being people who have no stake in the country shouldn't be able to vote to change the course of it. That lead me down a rabbit hole of thought.

Government gets in power, probably a right wing one and tries to go back to the original intent of the founders. People are on board because of political affiliation. Land owners vote becomes worth more than other votes because they have "stake" in the country. Eventually land owners are the only ones able to vote because they have the main sake in the country. Then you realize that people don't own land anymore, all of it is bought and increasingly by giant companies like blackrock and McDonalds. So you've whittled the voter base from millions to a few corporations because remember, corporations are considered people and can vote as such. Now your entire life is ran by a few corpos and you have no sayso in it what so ever.
