  • Breaking a Master Lock

    Breaking a Master Lock

    Breaking a Master Lock

    by Richard Rastetter

A couple of weeks ago I wanted to open a Masterlock. After reading those long articles on how to "crack" the combination, I tried it, and failed. Then I saw the article about drilling into it, that sounds fast, but it requires a drill, and knowledge on where to drill, plus if the lock is on a locker, it is kinda hard to flip the lock around and drill. I came up with my own way (to my knowledge) using a screwdriver,...

Simple Steps To Opening A Locked Door

    By
    The Lord of the Rings

Ya' know those little metal "slot covers" inside your
computer. The ones you have to remove to put a modem in one of the
slots. Got a little hole in the bent over end, and the other end
is almost flat off, but it sort of tapers a little. Well, anyway,
the metal is thin and fairly flexible. Insert the long flat...

    Beating Tubular Locks without Damage

    by Lord Mixtur

Tubular locks are used on many things. What is a wonder, is that they're used in areas where high security is required. The wonder I mention, is that I learned to beat a tubular lock before I entered 7th grade!

Well, the theory here is that tension must be kept on the lock, whilst the pins are being depressed. The theory is simple, but in practice, it is more complicated than that.

    Bend a precision...

The most common alarm system is the EAS system known as 'tags and towers'. It is, simply put, towers by the doors and 'hard' and 'soft' tags on the goods in the shops. EAS is easy to get round (in alot of shops it's simply a case of following the power lead to the wall and pulling the plug out. Most towers now days have a power lead that goes dirrectly into the wall, but the wall socket still has a removable fuse, which is handy). Some stores...

A Weakness in Cheap Imitation Combinations Locks

    by B|u

My definition of a cheap lock is a lock that is not a master lock. Usually the easiest way to tell if the lock is cheap is when the dial on the lock is a different color than black, such as blue or red or yellow. You can also tell if it's a shitty lock when you turn the dial and it doesn't rotate smoothly.

Now here is the easy part. All you need to do is remove one of your socks from your feet or bring...

A List of All Simplex Lock Combinations

    by DecimatoR

The following is a list of all combinations for Simplex locks - the kind Federal Express uses to "secure" items put in drop boxes. These locks can usually be broken into in under 10 minutes, if you know what you're doing. This list was taken from the alt.security newsgroup in Internet Netnews.
