View Full Version : Hell and who goes there.
One of the many problems I have with Christianity and similar religions is Hell and who goes there. If a person doesnt come to God does he/she go to Hell? (If they never knew god) I.E. several tribes across the Earth. If a baby is born and dies does he/she go to Hell? If people who have different religious beleives from yours do they go to Hell. What about the people driving to church to get saved with conviction in their heart. They crash and die before they're saved do they go to Hell? Please discuss
(Please excuse me if I'm being ignorant , the Bible may very well address these issues very clearly.)

From what I'v heard, babies go to heaven because they never got to know God. Undiscovered tribes apperently have a chance to get into heaven, as long as the haven't been unbelievely wicked. But what if a baby kills a doctor purposely then dies?

in the Islamic faith who doesn't believe in Mohamed and Islam will go to hell however some people who never heard of him like tribes in remote areas or whatever the reason is are called in Arabic Ahlou AL FATRA (people of the period) according to Islam at the judgement day God will make water look like fire and will tell them i'm god i created you and the universe i order you to trust me and enter this fire if the person accepts wich means he trusted god then he will enter heaven if he doesn't he will enter hell .
we also think like this guy said all kids will go to heaven because they are not yet responsible for their acts

i'm catholic, so i've been told we all go to hell. i think protestants believe whoever is born again before they die wont go to hell because it makes God forget about their sinful lives before becoming born again.
but really, no such thing as hell. unless the greeks were right and there is a Hades. since, thats where the notion of hell was adopted into the jewish faith. before being taught of Hades, jews believed in Sheol, which was in no way Hell.

I've actually had Christians tell me that they're sorry some of their friends and family will burn in hell, but it's God's will and they'll be happy in heaven!
How weak is that!!
seriously, saying stuff like that goes against the basis of human morality imo, not to mention christian "agape".
Christians own themselves.

Hah, he said HE will be happy in heaven? Man that is so humorous. I know that most people will go to hell, and probably myself, but come on he is no christian if he thinks he's going to heaven. He does not decide it and saying so is an insult to god.

Hell is reserved for those that willfully and deliberately choose to disobey God and His statutes. Certain tribes on earth, even today, have never been presented with the gospel. And babies have not the understanding of the gospel. This goes into accountablity. Sin is only a sin when you are aware that what you are doing is wrong. Babies don't know any better. So, when they die, they go to heaven.

But that's not fair, I mean, why do people who die when they're a child get off so easy? The fact that they die here is irrelevant, since they get to go to heaven anyway.
Also, how would an ignorant baby, which isn't even self aware, be able to experience heaven if it can't experience sin?

This is one of my major points against the Christian god. Hell: eternal pain and suffering in a bottomless pit of fire.
First, I would not wish this on anyone. Even the most evil of people, the Hitlers and Stalins of society, do not deserve this for eternity. Perhaps eternity in complete solitude, to contemplate what it was that they did. But eternal torture? No.
And I consider that I'm not nearly omnibenevolent. And yet, the most loving and perfect being in the universe is supposed to endorse such...cruelty? It doesn't make any sense at all.
Second, I wouldn't want to worship such a cruel god. Doing so, you are saying "Might makes right. God is so powerful, whatever he does is good, so I'm going to kiss his ass."
Screw that. I have more respect for myself and for humanity than to worship such a tyrant.

Unless you're poor and don't do anything, you're going down.

Any scripture to back that up? Especially about undiscovered tribes.
