To have free will, one must be able to genuinely choose between good and evil. But, this does not compel one to do either. One merely chooses to do either. For example, to be able to genuinely love, one must be able to genuinely hate. The sufferings that we have in this world are, therefore, the inevitable result of us abusing our free will.

BUT, isn't God ultimately free?

Why can't we be *created * like God and thus, be totally free, whilst at the same time good? Why can't we freely just choose to be good?

God is able to genuinely love, even though He can do no wrong or no sin. Why can't we?
