if a catholic were to approach a priest, take a knife and stab them selves repeatedly in the torso, yet ask forgiveness the moment before they died, would they go to heaven? or still be condemned to hell. just something ive been pondering over the past few hours

Are you thinking of commiting suicide? Because there are better ways than stabbing yourself :P
Btw, there's no such thing as heaven so don't bother finding a priest. Spend some quality time on your suicide note instead!

Only if they were sincere in their desire to be forgiven, and know that what they did was wrong, and would not do it if they had a chance to do it over.

Yea theyd end up burning in hell if there was one because the actually have to mean it. that is why suicide is one of the worst sins other than denying jesus because you cant ask for forgiveness if your dead. if i were the priest id look at you and laugh and be like "man what a dumbfuck, i guess ill call the ambulance"
