I was just wondering if giving out all those recycling bins a while back was to really help or just you make the people think they're helping to shut them up?

I think it's somewhere between the two.

Some of it? It's to allow for the sweet action when the peoples are bent over putting stuff in the bins...

When we gave out recycling bins it made all these people whinge loudly because it was different to what they were used to.

And it helps...here anyhow cause the recycling doesn't have to go as far as the garbage...so less fuel in transportation. What's that you say? Energy used to process recyclables? Yeah well energy is used to bury crap too and make new shit so whatever.

there's a lot of profit in recycling, and it's good for the environment. You don't even want to know how much kid's playground equipment used to be milk jugs.

With any luck, we'll be seeing a lot of at home recycling of materials before long. The technology is right around the corner.

At home recycling of materials? What's this you speak of? Like cardboard you put in the garden after you've finished with it?

Remember when food spreads would come in like milk glass glasses so after you used it all you'd have a new piece of glassware, and when milk vendors would deliver and collect glass milk bottles so they'd be refilled and not need new bottles all the time.

I think the technology has been a 'backwards' step from which we shouldn't have moved forward from in the first place (moving forward is used loosely)

How about precycling...buying stuff like loose apples without putting them in a plastic produce bag and into shopping bag...
Generally looking at the amount of packaging something has and deciding you'll go against the stuff wrapped up in a lot of shit packaging.
