I want to make LED light bulbs that will screw into a normal light socket. I have very little experence in household electricle stuff (and spelling :) ) and have no idea how to make a safe one myself (i dont want to short something and burn my house down). Does anyone know hoe to make an LED light bulb or at least where to buy premade ones? Currently I am using those compact flourescent bulbs, but for me LED seems to be the more energy saving way to go. (also I am trying to power my house on solar/wind so i really need to be as effiecient as possible) Thanks for any and all help (or flames if u really want to)

Do you want to save energy for the enviroment or to keep the power company from noticing a huge spike in usage?

No I'm not doing anything that would create a huge spike in usage (like Hydrophonics...sp?) I just want to get off the power grid and solar powering my home means saving every possible watt of energy.
