An American-based company has bought 1,000 acres of land within 200 feet of Lake Superior, with which they intend to remove forest so they can mine the granite which lies there to build Michigan highways.
The sight is in Michipicoten bay. The mining will affect species of fish and birds, as well as wildlife of the forest they intend to destroy. Locals, regular visitors, people who've only been there once or twice and even people who've never been there are fighting against this Corporation that seeks to destroy the beautiful, delicate habitat.
Help is needed dearly. We can't continue to sit back and let Companies mame what few precious areas we have left on our planet we won't have any left.
