I want to learn more about buddhism

It seems like an appealing lifestyle, one that allows me to be more peaceful and relaxed. I know the story of the lord siddharta buddha, but i don't know much about the tenants or details of practice. Can anybody fill me in a little bit? Is buddhims a good choice for a way of life?

Whats right for one man is doesnt have to be for another.
You need to find your own way in this world, be it Buddha, Shiva or Jesus.

I assume you are converting. Well, why?
What about your current religion/way of life dont you like?

There are many places you can go to find out more - Even your local library will probably hold a few texts about the daily practices/mantras of the buddhist faith.

However it's more likely that if you're only becoming adjusted to the concept of eternal compassion, try and find some of the dalai lama's works, which is how i was introduced to buddhism.

If you feel that you need something more substantual (heh) then you could try finding a monastary where there will be others who have pursued the ideals of buddhism for most their life.
