Ive gotten into BA: Enviromental Life Sciences, so hooray for me.
Its not the end of my degree shifting though, im hoping to get into Bachellor of enviromental and resource management.

So expect my posts to start becoming higher quality.

All i need to do now is get some relevant placement.

Also something my lecturer said has made me question things, he mentioned he'd be teaching this course for over a decade - and its made me wonder, if businesses, consumers and educational instutions are all on board the sustainablity boat why arent our world leaders doing anything about it?

I theorise that both old and uneducated or apathetic segments of the community are keeping us all down.

I'm about 5/8s the way through my Environmental Health/science/management (whatever the hell it is lol) degree.

I really don't agree with business being in the sustainability boat, they are on whatever boat is the cheapest.

I work in the field and do the uni work externally.

The shit the local high school does that is detrimental to the environment is extraordinary. I mean concentrated into schools are science labs, teachers running off paper upon paper of worksheets, the paint art students pour down the drain, the oil and grease from food technology...the overconsumption at the canteen.

Anyhow I get riled up thinking about it, and yes....because they are public schools who is going to care? The higher rungs of government? Heaven help anyone wanting to come down hard on the poor old school.

So what uni you at man?

Is it not unusual to have a BA rather than a BSc in a science based course? (I am studying biology myself).

Im at macquarie university, im enrolled part time (party time) with one uni externally one internally.
I work at one of those 'free lightbulb' carbon trading companies but im sick of it and want to leave - i figure that i have enough spare time/skills/intelligence to do something better which will look good alongside my degree.

Cheers -
