Why would anyone convert to believing in a polytheistic religion? does it require COMPLETE blind faith (aka stupidity) or do some have some historical/philosophical support as a foundation for faith? i know theres christian/islamic/etc apologetics....but is there say...Norse shamanism apologetics? And if there is, would you say its more or less a pile of poopoo compared to christian apologetics.
someone plz educate an ignant-azz nigga like me.

I think all religious apologetics are a pile of rancid feces.
The only reason we in the western world KNOWS of christianity is b/c christians MURDERED non-believers, pagans (infidels?) and men of science. That was the only way for christianity to survive.
Now that christians are no longer are ABLE to do that........Christainity is on the downslope in this country..........less attendence in church..........bible sales dropping.......
Also........scientific and medical discoveries are abound since christians quit killing them. A near direct correlation is drawn between less religious oppression........greater nation. A scientific nation.

Shamanism is sort of like spiritualism albeit in the aspect that they both aren't really religions, but are sometimes treated as such.
Polytheism doesn't require conversion nor does any religion...at least you're right that you are "an ignant nigga".
Anyway, they all have their philosophies and historical supports for faith.
That's all I'm going to say, because reading products of idiocy make my blood pressure build up. So thanks duche-ass my head hurts now.
...fucker.....
Monotheism?? wtf?
Why does one god make things any more valid than two or more? I really, really really, don't understand. It's all JUST as unbelievable and ungrounded as the next in line. Jove and Jehovah both provide the same amount of evidence and reason for faith.
You really are an ignant azz nigga.

Polytheistic religions make much, MUCH more sense than any monotheistic religions ever have. They were around long before any monotheistic religions, so they are more spiritual and in touch with who we are as people (as your own race, countrymen) and require much less blind faith than belief in 'God'. I have also found there is a lot more historical and philosophical foundation behind it. Just read Temple Of Wotan by Ron McVan for an insight into Wotanism (a more racial branch of Odinism/Asatru).
I don't know why I just wasted two minutes of my life even bothering to come close to enlightening a 'ignant azz nigga'. Because thats what you truly are.

Verily is it written--ask and it shall be given unto thee. Shamanism is a religion ONLY if you are talking about the Chuckchee tribe of Siberia--that is not the case here, I think. Shamanism is a practice, specifically a subset of the great set of spiritual healing modalities.
However, implicit in shamanist practice is recognition of any number of spiritual entities, especially power animals--which roughly correspond to guardian angels in the Christian mythos.
Personally, I acknowledge any number of spirits--particularly Tlaloc (the Aztec rain god), the Quartz Deva, and the Dumpster Deva-- in addition to the Great Spirit.
