15% energy coming from renewable by 2020? Optimistic or do-able?
Considering Australias population is around sayyyy 20 million people I think it really is achievable. That news article states this one development can provide 400,000 houses with their energy requirements. If each of those 400,000 houses only housed 2.5 people each (I don't know what figure they are working off I may be too generous) that is 1 million people. Or 5% of the current population.
Get people to be less energy consuming and that target is already in our sights.
