would ammonpulver work in a shot gun shell?

I've made batches before and couldn't get them to burn, do you think a shotgun primer has enough oomph to get it started or does in only work as a cannon propellant?

It only works well as a cannon propellant.

Shotgun barrels are relitivly thin... Cannon barrels aren't... might want to keep that in mind.
