entire manga series is right here folks.

this is one of the most awesome "fear" manga's I have read.
starts out better than good, near the end gets pretty out there, but none the less, its definately in my top ten, if not that then the number one spot.
I'll definitely check it out.

This gets pretty fucked up really quickly. The scary thing was, I was reading it at 3:00 AM and then my internet started to tard out on me. So, needless to say I promptly stopped reading and sat all night under my covers where the spiral cannot go.

LOL. That was pretty silly. Whoever made that is pretty creative though. I have a few complaints though. (There are spoilers.)
While only a few hours long, it still felt boring at places. They could have cut out some of the stupid parts like the boy who turned into a zombie and started jumping around.
The ending didn't make sense. The girl was narrating, looking back but she still became a spiral. You'd think that she'd be dead or at least be assimilated into the spiral and have spiral thoughts. She said something to the effect that they were suck in that one instant at the center of the spiral. That's stupid though too because if they were stuck in an instant she wouldn't have dynamic thought and wouldn't be able to narrate the story in the first place.
I don't understand how the town being a spiral made it impossible to escape. Spirals don't loop back on themselves. That was stupid.

yeah..the ending kinda messed with me too.
oh yeah, and due to english translation, the whole "spiral" thing could also mean "vortex" which might help out fill in some blanks there.
as for jumping corpse boy? I liked it. I mean the idea is sily at first, but if ya think about it, a hopping corpse that won't stp chasing you IS pretty freaky.

I don't think that's a huge difference. Spirals nor vortexes nor whatever loop around on themselves. The ending didn't make sense period.

I think the author was going for something more weird and wacky than scary. The tone of the Afterword sections suggest this too. So it's not a matter of how freaky it is (or isn't in this case). I liked the snail people personally. He should have had more stuff like that.
PS: Are there any other comics that you recommend on that site? Preferably something that isn't overtly, stereotypically Japanese. Something that I could read fairly quickly like this?

it's by the same author and artist. set in japan (duh) and fetures walking fish that kill people.
not as freaky as spiral, but has it's moments, sme parts in the middle don't make much sense.
still. it's a good read since I don't know much about anime and this is one I do know.
