Recently I decided to change my style to something more mature. For the past couple years I was really fond of Guess T-shirts and jeans. I'd usualyl have some nice blue jeans, and some t-shirt, usually dark. I looked good, but in retrospect...it was still rather typical, youthful attire.
I recently started stocking up on inexpensive designer polos/shirts (stuff like Cezani, Claiborne, not that frat-boy shit) and am going to start wearing PANTS more often, as opposed to jeans. Basically, I've started dressing more like an adult, as opposed to a teen/young adult. The best example I can give is how Tony dresses on The Sopranos. It's not a preppy or pretty-boy look...more like casual, upper-class adult male attire.
So far it seems pretty successful. I've gone out (just for my daily routine) like that a few times and noticed more attention from women. I'm also looking forward to going out at night like this. I mean, whenever you go to a club or bar, all the guys usually look the same...often some variation on that "guido/"My New Haircut" look. Being young but still looking classy...I think I'm onto something here.

That is essentially what i've been posting about on totse for about the past while.
Pants + Shirts = win.
Instead of Tony Soprano, go for better tailored blazers and shirts.
It's worth the extra dollars to get tailored dress shirts.

Eh...that seems a bit too fancy for everyday wear. For nightlife, I find that the blazers are just as cliche/bland as the "guido"-esque look.
By the way, do you ever dress down in jeans and t-shirts anymore, or have you made a complete transition? I have so much trouble finding nice jeans that I think I'd love to just abandon them completely.

I only really dress down in jeans and t-shirts for going to classes, groceries, smaller things.

I couldn't agree more, if DerDrache is attempting to dress himself properly he'd do well to follow the example of Chris Eubank:
