I've been seeing a lot of my schoolmates wearing them with t-shirts as of late. But it's hot here and I don't really see the point.
For me, I only wear them on snowy weather.
What do you guys think of it?

I think they look a little ridiculous (read: superfuckingretarded) when worn before or after wintertime.

But the ladies wearing them as belts doesn't look so horrid.

scarves, especially during the warmer seasons as you're specifically talking about, can be quite sexy when worn by girls. if they wear it with other, simple clothing I think it's a pretty cute look...

...as far as dudes go, I've never worn a scarf outside of winter when it is bitter cold. I understand that some thin scarves might seem cool but I've never seen a dude really pull it off nor would I imagine it would look very good... but then again, hey, if you want to try it and it makes you feel good by all means try it out...

Winter for guys, ladies can wear those thin ones in the summer.

Girls wearing them in summer is fine by me but I'm talking about all those guys that are wearing them here.

The gays were the first ones to wear them and now more and more straight guys are wearing them. They wear like a t-shirt + vest (waistcoat) + scarf + skinny jeans = gay fashion?

But being homophobic, closeminded and insular count as neither of those.

Scarves are so chic. I think they go with just about anything and they brighten your outfit up in an understated way.

Thin, silk ones in fun patterns are great for summer and thick, warm wool scarves are cosy for winter. It's like the perfect accessory.

Tell me where in my post i was either of those things? Im closeminded because the fad about guys wearing scarfs everywhere to seem trendy is idiotic? And homophobic? i think you should go look up that word.

Bet you are one of those emo, skinny jeans wearing, misunderstood rejects.

Every post of yours that I've seen has been calling something or other gay, or calling someone a faggot. All because they don't fit into that comfort zone of yours, where everyone is living in a state of testosterone-fueled manliness. Everything you dont like is merely labeled as 'gay'. Scarves? Gay. Skinny jeans? Queer. You seem to have nothing particularly worthwhile to contribute apart from offhand gay remarks.

And I'm not emo, I'm not particularly misunderstood, I have friends, and am in a stable relationship.

Maybe you should look around more then?

Scarfs in themselves arent gay, they have a function. When gay/'trendy' men start wearing them everywhere, the term gay quite naturally attaches it self to it.

But you are right, im totally closeminded to think of a fashion fad as stupid. You probably rag on people who disapprove of makeup on men aswell.

And I'm not emo, I'm not particularly misunderstood, I have friends, and am in a stable relationship

and you do walk around in a cardigan, tshirt, a scarf and skinny jeans and think you are trendy, amirite?

So the use of scarves should be solely dictated by and limited to their functionality? With that mentality, can I ask why you are posting in this forum in the first place? And if men want to wear make-up, why the hell should I care?

And no, you are a closeminded bastard simply because you're stubbornly unreceptive to the opinions of others. All you do is give people shit for having different opinions on style to you.

And I make no effort to be trendy, I buy what I like. I assume you go everywhere in combats with steel-toecap boots and a mullet, eh?

I wear bandannas as scarves year round, and not in a gangster way. I'll quit wearing them if it's too warm, but I like the look, usefulness of it.

The scarf really makes it gay.
The vest and t-shirt doesn't suit well. Tight vest is tight.
