Good to see warweed is still about and alive but can anyone tell me when the place changed (in light of the world events for the better I assume) to stop the talk of synths that would cause bodily harm to all those that may wish to create them?

Actually I think it's just a phase. People talk about different things at different times. Most of the "smart forums" are pretty dead this time of year, since a lot of people are getting settled in at Uni, getting ready for another year of school, etc. it usually picks up again by mid-sept.

However, I have actually stopped pursuing HE-related experiments, in light of "recent events," as you might call it. I can rationalize synthing NC, but that's about it. I just can't bring myself to synth AP or anything when I know that it's being used to kill people. Now, of course, NC is universally used in smokeless powder for rifles, but you couldn't take my nitrated cotton and make a bomb out of it. I've been so damn busy these days that pyro is really becoming a once-in-a-while thing, but I'm looking to change that! I'm enrolled in some good physics and chem classes this next year, so hopefully I'll get excited about it again.

As any other explosive NC can be filled in a bomb, and detonated with wright sized cap. If you ignite it, it burns very quickly, so quickly that fully nitrated guncotton will not burn your skin, if you ignite it on it. Expecially if it is trinitrated.It can be achived by nitrating it in weak,old, for making NC allready used acids, and then in new,concentrated. Than it burns in a moment, you can even hear puff!. But in a pressed and not gelled form it can be HE, vhich dets with VoD about 5600m/sec. Earllyer it was pressed and filled in sea mines. So-in pyro-things only your intention maters. If you decide to use it as HE - it detonates with strenght close to TNT. If you gell and granulate it -it makes smokeless powder. But without cap in it it's nice for amusment, simulating thunderstrikes in theatre - you wrap it around thin wire and ignite it, and speekers produce sound. Small ball of it can be even wrapped in cigarette - it makes long, yellow, shiny flame before cigarette paper ignites, just a moment before cigarette burns to that place.
