I am looking to find something to read e-books on.
Hoping to get some practical advise. I can't decide what I need. Hopefully somebody out there will steer me in the right direction.
1. Cheap and repalceable if stolen.
2. Have large memory. I save books on DVD. SO easy software use. Most PDF
3. Easy to read by adjusting print.
4. Light wieght.
5. Run through pages quick.
6. Hopefully can run colorpics.
7. Can highlights nad save pages or paragraphs.
8 . Same size as a comfortable to read book.
9. Need to be fairly tough and weather resistant as I read while in a deer stand or laying in bed or heavy machinery (vibration).
10 Any other goodies that would help.

Heh. I just use my EeePC. The small form of the netbook allows you to hold it just like a book and read e-books that way and you can press the arrow keys to change pages. Plus it's a small laptop so it has the functions of a normal laptop like Internet surfing and the like. 'course since it's a laptop it'll be a bit pricey, the newest model is like $550 and it's 10 inches but comes with a 20GB solid state drive so that means that you could literally throw your EeePC down some stairs and the solid state drive would be unaffected since there is no moving parts.

I also recommend this notebook. A bit pricey if your just reading e-books on it. But hey you can download and use the internet on it while reading.
Also a great laptop for college.

No, the above link works fine. Either figure out how to enable SSL in your browser, or delete the 's' after http and try again.
