Piles Of Crack

I'm really, really hoping they decide to include a laugh track, just for a goof.
I am greatly looking forward to how it's going to play out and the approaches of each side. Should be hilarious.

Palin has proven herself to be a fucking idiot. She knows it, her handlers know it, and Americans with an IQ above 90 know it.
It will be interesting to see what her strategy is. I think she will fill the debate with agressive quips, ad hominems, insults, etc. in an attempt to get Joe Biden to pop his famous mouth off.
Even if Joe doesn't pop off a gaffe, this agressive stylistic approach is her only way to come close to what is perceived a victory.
The Repubs have already come up with excuses as to why she gets her ass handed to her, just in case.
If the Republicans were to ever orchestrate a political move that was in depth, complicated or less transparent, I would shit my pants.

Did you see my pic? Okay I get your point but you seem to not understand that PALIN IS HOT. She is by far the sexiest VP candidate in American history.
Perhaps she is not intelligent but she is sexy as hell. Her lustful appearance could be an asset during foreign policy negotiations. As long as she is willing to go all the way, for national interest.

Yeah, I can't wait. Biden has had some foot-in-mouth moments, but he's clearly not a completely naive moron. Palin just fundamentally has no idea what the fuck is going on.
I'm guessing that the McCain camp has given her a bunch of shit to memorize, but hopefully Biden and the questions themselves will show her as the complete and utter dumbass that she is.

I'm excited to see these two VPs face off. As far as I'm aware, Palin has quite a reputation as a debater. As she is the underdog, she has nothing to lose and I think she will make a good showing. Also, no matter what she says, people who don't support her will say she is scripted or memorizing things—like they said about McCain. Why McCain/Palin don't walk on water like Obama and Biden, I will never know.
Biden has been mock debating with a 40-something woman representative, don't quote me on the representative part. I think it's funny.

People say Palin is scripted because she is. Anyone who watched her interviews can see that. She hardly answers any of the questions she's given, fluffs up her responses will pure bullshit (ie. endless banter about "our great nation" or "Joe Six-Pack"), and often just ends up talking about something completely unrelated to the question. The interviewers give her multiple chances to give decent responses, but she continually botches them. I'm still amazed that she never understood why her comments about Russia were absurd.
She doesn't walk on water because she has come off as a completely incompetent, inexperienced, naive moron, every chance she's been given.

1) He left early from a press conference, and has done more than enough to dispell rumors about his questionable political "ties" frmo the past. This is in no way comparable to Palin not having any idea what is going on, or repeatedly saying things that are absolutely ridiculous.
2) Using filler words, although it hurts his presentation, has no bearing on his actual content. It's always a sign of him thinking about his responses, as opposed to just rattling off bullshit. Everyone prepares speeches, but there's a difference between having a speech prepared, and being completely helpless without it. That's what people mean when they call Palin "scripted". Obama knows where he stands, and he knows what he's talking about, with or without a prepared speech in front of him. This is why he's done very well in all of his interviews and in the debates.
3) He tripped over part of a speech, presumably because he was tired. Again, this is in no way comparable to Palin (and McCain) not having any idea what is going on. By the way, you do realize that his speeches are usually at least an hour long, right?
I honestly wonder if you know how pathetic you look when you try to actually argue that Obama saying "uh", or stumbling over part of a single speech, or leaving a press conference demonstrates that he is somehow incompetent. Pathetic. Thanks for the insight into a McCain-supporter's mind, though. It's truly frightening.

1) He skipped questions, bottom line. I love the "everyone already knew" defense. Just like in the debates "That's not true, John." Tell John why it's not true. Stop being so short without your teleprompter.
2) Thinking of his responses? Perhaps he doesn't have one. A "good speaker" would think silently, take a college course on it. You're entitled to your opinion.
3) Tripped over part of a speech? He fuckin' vaguely rambled about nothing for almost a minute and made up words. Stop making excuses for him, he's not going to suck your dick.
If you think I'm scary, it's because I think for myself. I don't eat the shit sandwich media feeds me on a daily basis. I'll take your opinion as a compliment though.

He called an end to the press conference, just as is entitled to do. That's the bottom line. We weren't talking about the debates either, in case you hadn't noticed. However: If McCain says something that's false, then that's all there is to it.
2) Thinking of his responses? Perhaps he doesn't have one.
Except...he has essentially always had one, whether in an interview with Obnoxious O' Reilly or during the pressure of the debate.
A "good speaker" would think silently, take a college course on it. You're entitled to your opinion.
So, at best, you can argue that he isn't a good speaker. Bravo.
3) Tripped over part of a speech? He fuckin' vaguely rambled about nothing for almost a minute and made up words.
If you add up the actual parts where he is stumbling over words or mumbling, it amounts to around 30 seconds. Hyperbole and being dishonest isn't a way to make your point. Regardless, even if stumbled for 2 minutes, it still amounts to "tripping over part of a speech". It was insignificant in the context of his hour+ long speech, and again, the only thing it supports is your weak hypothesis that he's a bad speaker.
If you think I'm scary, it's because I think for myself. I don't eat the shit sandwich media feeds me on a daily basis. I'll take your opinion as a compliment though.
I said insight into a McCain-supporter's mind is frightening, not you. English: Take a college course on it. To be more specific, I find it frightening to see just how delusional a voter can be.

Obama has an awesome style and he comes off really well. He gives the television viewer the image of a down to earth black man with common sense. A man who really "gets it".
Putting all that aside, I believe the only way we can really see how a politician stands is their voting record. What does Obama's say about him?

I think the neo cons can consider that a win.
I however would love for someone to tell me anything she said that required actual knowledge rather than parroting basic media sound bites and stump speech rhetoric. Zero substance, and zero display of knowledge on her part.

They both hate gay people and love Israel.
You'd think Palin was a goddamned ballerina and not a beauty queen the way she danced around the questions.

Joe at least answered the questions and didnt APPEAR to be as scripted as Palin. I loved the part where she said "Senator O'Biden." Anyone catch that? Little slip there while she was trying to regurgitate. They even scripted a big word in there for her so she didn't come off as the complete ignoramus she is. (tumultuous) They both got a shot in at each other with Joe's "Ultimate Bridge to nowhere" and Palin's "Lame Joke". I especially loved Palin telling me how she speaks straight to the American people and not through "mainstream media" says the ex news anchor and soon to be Fox News tool.

i could pick on the fact that she diverted the "Durfur" question (and EVERY question) to alaska's natural resources. she hasnt answered a god damn thing she filibusters everything.
or how she was "before it before she was against it" sounds familiar..
or how american's deserve straight talk but she just generates blather
or how it very clear she has nothing to say and "but corruption and greed" or "maverick" over and over
or about how john mccain knows how to win a war (like getting shot down?)
endless buzzwords
the list goes on and on!
i swear i almost saw her pull out some pompoms when she squealed about how much she LOVES israel, too.

Yeah, there was nothing to go "oooooh" over except the bridge to nowhere comment, but there were still things like "John McCain voted 20 times against renewable energy" and she just said "I want to get back to the issue of...". Biden brought it up 3 times and she just completely avoided it.
Oh, and when she implied she was superior because she was a mother of 678456352 kids biden gave his emotional story about losing his wife and daughter and not knowing if his sons were going to make it, and becoming a single father like that. Completely pwned her. "Don't tell me that because I'm a man I don't know the hardships of being a single parent." She didn't see it coming at all and IMMEDIATELY switched to "john mccain is a maverick blah blah I'm a stupid bitch." She got completely destroyed in the pity/sympathy department and that was a blatant save. I was watching the debate with 5 people and the room just went completely silent when his voice croaked a little, right before the bitch snatched his thunder :D
It's sad that most people won't notice how palin spoke completely in cliché. cliché cliché cliché. "Maverick, in alaska, when i was governer, in my family, *wink*, *smile*. Sickening really. If you didn't fall for that bullshit, you would have also noticed that biden repeatedly tried to stay on track. "I'm telling you, the american people, [FACT]". happened about 3 or 4 times when she tried to change subjects. Once was over the renewable energy. Another was over the healthcare pwnage(mccain will give you a credit, then tax employers) and 2 others that I dont recall at the moment.
The nucular part started to get to me after awhile. I've heard people complain about Bush saying, it but it had never bothered me when he does. But with her accent and that screechy voice of hers, it was getting pretty annoying. Another thing that bothered me is how she immediately kept looking right into the camera every time she spoke. I've gotten used to seeing candidates talking on stage as if its second nature to them. They look at the person that asked them the question and look at their opponents when they mention their opponent's names. Palin, however, looked like she was some kind of news anchor.

She was fucking terrible. I doubt she's quite as stupid as she comes across though. It wouldn't surprise me if the republicans are so petrified of gaffe's that they've actually told her - here are your talking points, say NOTHING that is not written here.
She didn't become governor of Alaska by being an idiot, but boy oh boy does she interview poorly, and this was simply a continuation of that.
Most people in your average university debating club are more able to deal with being 'on show' then she is.
I'm still more comfortable with the off chance of her ending up president then Obama becoming president straight up though.
"Her reward is in heaven", referring to Biden's wife, who is a teacher.
That was the sound of every teacher in America voting for Obama. It's funny too because she apparently thought she was saying something kind and meaningless.

Another reason why you dumb, sucking on your mommy and daddys tittie faggots are stupid, is because you actually have to ADMIT that Biden won. There is no fucking winning in a debate. Wrong. Debates are meant to be won.
Biden is younger than McCain, retard. You also just admitted he has a lot of experience, whereas Palin doesn't. Ergo, she's not ready.
Remind me again where Palin did "awesome"? All I saw was a bunch of bullshit coming out of her mouth. Joe Biden covered a huge array of topics with supporting details. He also provided the big picture as to what he and Barack want to do overall. Lastly, he did something politicians never do: he spoke with candor. He actually said where he and Barack disagree. Palin skirted that question. Of course, that's because in order to disagree, you have to actually have a stance of your own first.
I thought Palin did ok. I thought she would fall on her ass up there, but she didn't. She held her own well enough, considering her lack of experience with the medium.
I also think it's commendable that Biden didn't take advantage of her 'rookiness' and attack her. He could've chewed her up and spit her out if he wanted to, but all of his attacks were against McCain.
I think it was a good debate all around. Put me to sleep for a bit though...

I think Biden did the job well, he attacked McCain and answered the questions unlike Palin (btw she was looking fuckable ;)) she didn't give any answers to the question being asked in fact she steered the questions into her own court and answered something else. Although i must say she did pretty well out there.
But still Obama is the clear winner here.
For everyone that is saying Palin did well in the debate, are you aware that the interviews she has leading up to the debate were intentional to lower the expectations of her? All of those questions she stumbled on with Couric, she has answered before in a well and concise manner. She only seems like she won the debate because everyone was expecting her to get eaten alive. Anyway, like I said about the Presidential debate, if any third candidate were up there, both of them would have looked completely stupid.
Do Red Staters get offended when people like Biden speak in clear English? Because as a Blue Stater, I find it condescending when politicians like Palin start saying folksy shit like Joe-six-pack. Like she felt like she really had to dumb down her vocabulary as if I wouldn't know what the fuck she was talking about if she didn't. I'm just wondering if that folksy crap works for anyone.
^^ Nope, the folksy shit didn't work. I thought she was saying that shit just to sound like the 'average American', which she isn't. A governor wondering how she would pay for her kids' college? Please...
Anyway, I don't think she won the debate, nothing even close.
Palin did fucking awesome. She had to go from 30 mph to 400 mph in a VERY short amount of time.

No she didn't. She may have exceeded extremely low expectations, but just because she wasnt a train wreck doesn't mean she wasn't terrible.

Quite sad really.
What a coincidence, in every presidential or VP debate in the last 8 years the Republican came in with low expectations and was able to utter a few words in grammatically correct English and walks away with a far higher chance of being rated as having won the debate not because of rhetoric or arguments, but because of low expectations. Look up the debates; all of them have been like this (save perhaps with McCain on foreign policy), it's no surprise.

Biden's part of about his wife and daughter dying probably helped him a lot. I was reading an article about how debates are all about emotional connection, not actual intelligent arguments and such. So...looks like Biden got Palin on both levels.

Biden's part of about his wife and daughter dying probably helped him a lot. I was reading an article about how debates are all about emotional connection, not actual intelligent arguments and such. So...looks like Biden got Palin on both levels.
I'm also hearing that more swing voters came over to Obama's side after last night, so that's good.
You know what would be even better for America? If we seriously just randomly grabbed a person off the street who wants nothing to do with power or pomp and force him to rule the country.
It isn't the possession of power that corrupts, it's the desire for it. There is no such thing as a good candidate: If you want power, you will abuse it. There is NO exception.

Would it now? Considering the amount of knowledge the average person has about any issue relevant to being president, I doubt it. And I think there are exceptions to your statement. Some people who seek power genuinely want to help people and have enough confidence that they are a leader who can do that.
Come on, stop being so cynical about this. Sure it probably would be better to have more than two options for president every election, but if every president abused his power, we would be worse off than we are now. (ok maybe not, but still)

This is precisely the problem. The most horrid evils are committed in the name of good. How many of these power hungry men think they're going to make a bunch of poor decisions that damage the future lives of all humanity due to the influence their decisions have?
Give that kind of power to a man who doesn't want it and he will take no action except that which is absolutely necessary. Give a gun to someone who doesn't seek to kill and nobody will be killed, no?

Debates are not meant to be won. Debates rarely mean anything, UNLESS A HUGE MESSUP occurs. Then, it is a loss. How many times has a party 'won' a debate, but lost the election? Dumbass.
And BINDEN is younger than McCain by how much?? Big fucking whoop...less than 10 yrs difference. That just makes Palin even better, because she handled the debate VERY well. See, I know its hard for you pimple geek 12 yr olds to understand, but usually the older you get, the wiser you get (until you get Alzheimers). Palin was the underdog x 1000 in the debate. As I said before, ITS FUCKING OBVIOUS (to people who gradumatated hi skool) that Biden had like 30 fucking years of experience on Palin. In that case, Palin did EXTREMELY well under the circumstances. Same exact thing has having a marathon between some zit popping ass licker like you who is on their middle schools track team, versus a seasoned marathon runner who has been running for the past 20 years.
BiNden and Obama are the SAVIORS of earfff!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHA!

Boy you are fucking stupid. You are so dense with Stupid you're stupidity collapsed into itself. You're a supermassive black hole of stupidity. You suck everything intelligent out of the air and turn it into Stupid. You're the sum of every stupid trait humans have ever had all consolidated into a single big Stupid. You're 10000 kinds of stupid, stupid in so many new ways scientists are still trying to categorize your class of stupid. You're left out of statistics because you singe-handedly bring down the intelligence average of the entire human race to the point that even hawking counts as stupid. You could be twice as smart and you'd still be exponentially more stupid than every stupid person. Please tell me you didn't actually intend to write that. Tell me that verbal abortion you just submitted was actually caused at random by banging your head against the keyboard or something.

Unless he sees how much power he has and then goes off on everyone around him, as opposed to someone who realizes what comes with the power of being president and is ready to deal with it.
I see what you're saying, but I think there are as many examples of people in power using their power constructively rather than abusing it.

A point I thought I'd mention is that McCain's Campaign has attacked Senator Obamma for experience, so shouldn't Joe Biden's experience simply show he'd be a better VP than Palin? When you really think about it these two people want the opportunity to be one heart beat away from being the fucking President of the United States. I think that just because she had low expectations and now has "bumped it up a notch" doesn't mean a damn thing. It simply means she is NOW doing her best and it still doesn't add up to the competition. Really I think the whole thing is fucked because they don't allow 3rd party candidates to enter in to these debates, and if they did maybe some people would find they don't have to choose between Coke and Pepsi... Viva La Senior Pib!

Binden "wrecked her"? Do you have fucking down syndrome? Did you even watch the debate? Oh, wait, I forgot...the mere presence of Obama makes your mouth salivate, like the messiah is coming. Praise Obama, the new messiah! He is coming to take us to la la land!!!

I don't mind a folksome accent, vernacular, or a cutesy sense of humor as long as it isn't a substitue for substance.

Exactly! Palin is the "zit popping ass licker" and Biden is the reasoned marathon runner:
In the end, no matter how much praise you'd love to shower on the "zit popping ass licker", the marathon runner still kicked her ass.

You do realize that Palin has become the Messiah of the right, don't you?
I find her endearing. Like a friend's mom. I like her energy policies (energy, by the way, being the most important policy in the next 50 years). She wants to use U.S. natural gas and U.S. oil to support infrastructure while we develop renewable sources.
I by no means see her as a Messiah, I think a lot of Americans like her because they have things in common with her. She's not elite, I enjoy that about her. She's like a local politician, and I've met many of them. I believe she genuinely loves this country. She started in the PTA and worked her way up. She wasn't supported by practically terrorist and/or racist groups pushing her into the upper echelons of politics. She did it for the love of the game instead. It's respectable.
IShe wants to use U.S. natural gas
What does she mean by natural gas? Does she mean naturally occurring inert gases? If you can give me a credible, non-bias source for her saying this then I'll have to give it to her. She is ahead of the rest of the pack on this issue. I work in the biotech industry and compressed natural gases are the staple for energy in analytical machines in this industry. Its dirt fucking cheap, very efficient, has no apparent effects on anything (inert being the key word here), and is as vast as there is space in the entire universe.
Extra credit for saying U.S. naturally occurring inert gases, if that is what she indeed say, because the U.S. is the main export of compressed natural gases. There are scientific hots spots in the US, Northern Europe, India, Singapore, China (especially China), Japan, South Korea, Israel, Mexico, and France. All places use machinery made in the US, Northern Europe, Japan, or China. Most of it is made in the US so the majority of the scientific community is working by our industry standards. Especially Biopharma. But all get the energy for their machinery (natural inert gas) from the US.
Goddamn... really... God Bless her! Seriously... if she said this. We have a more realistic way to become independent this way of foreign oil (Honda is already making NGVs) and it will just make our market shoot right up. I mean this will force us to develop technology with natural gas as a standard. Then the rest of the world will have to adapt to our standard (as always), which we will have the monopoly on being almost the only exclusive distributor of this energy source.

The only thing I agree with here is the energy policy. It is without a doubt the most important issue. We need to use a combination of every alternative energy we can, NG being the largest part of the pack. I'd like to see underwater methane used too, but that's years away.
However, the synopsis of her is full of shit. "americans like her because she isn't elite" is just plain arrogance. Americans are stupid and I hate this "elect a regular joe" mentality. Look at bush. I want a president that's a genius, not some dipshit with a journalism degree that she had to go to 3 colleges for. Who cares if she loves this country. Lots of morons do and she's a blatant one. She's stumbled on every interview, couldn't name sources, couldn't name a mccain-backed bill, spent most of her time in alaska on vacation, and ran a state unlike any other US state. Alaska gets a ton of money that they just distribute to the citizens. There isn't a lot to do there.
Also, she didn't get to the top on her own. She's the product of a carefully planned marketing strategy. Stop doublethinking here. Obama was pushed with little experience, but she was picked merely because republicans knew the ticket had no appeal at all and hillary being defeated had pissed off some feminazi dems. The difference between the two is that obama shows signs of intelligence meanwhile she's some clichénese speaking turd-brain. Obama fought for his position in a long dragged out campaign against one of the most powerful brand names in the country. Clinton. So, an unknown beat clinton out of persona and appeal. The extended campaign gave the republicans a head start and they still had to make the desperate move of picking palin. Goes to show how pathetic that party is.

If so, this article may be of interest to you. One of Palin's strong points is energy and she sees the potential in natural gas as stopgap to get us to renewable and nuclear energies.

Endearing? Since when is a lack of command of the facts endearing? Besides endearing is not enough. I guess I just want someone who can display a certain level of knowledge and a command of the facts to posses the launch codes.
She may be likeable as a person, but there is little I find likable in her as a potential POTUS.
She is not elite? I agree, she is not. Most Americans agree she is not. Her lack of eliteness can be seen any time she is on camera, whether it is in an interview, or spewing folksy garabage without substance in a debate.
Really loves this country, huh? Find out the tons of information on Palin and her connections to and support of the AIP, a party in Alaska that wants to secede from the union.

This is why most of the world hates America. No, we don't hate your "freedom", we hate you because you're a nation populated by fucking idiots. The fact that the opinion polls are fairly tight in regards to the Palin/ Biden debate makes that clear. That's fine, but there are alot of right-wingers who feel about her the same way as Obama, except not quite the fainting. (Men generally don't faint in the presence of their sex symbols)
I think we absolutely need to use US natural gas in our transportation infrastructure, but McCain's alternative energy proposals are lackluster. I have a problem with Obama's as well because I want specifics on his 15B over ten years. I DO NOT want ANY of that money going to corn ethanol research.
And Zay is quite right. She might be folksy and charismatic, but a rock star is probably not going to be the best leader.

I just want to add, that although I think she is ahead of the pack on this particular issue, I still don't think she qualified to be second in command. She qualifies to be Secretary of Energy. She could be Secretary of the State if she is willing to start giving blow jobs for the good of the country. Country first; before anything else including self respect.

Oh I see. We have a Euro-gypsey genius here.
First of all we wouldn't be electing Palin as "leader of the free world". We would be electing John McCain (maverick). He will make all the important decisions.
You were talking about Iran. Let me give you an example of how negotiations may play out: "Mr Abajenamabad, we are willing to offer you one blowjob a month from Sarah Palin or her daughter (your pick), as long as you promise not to bother Israel anymore"
Iran President: "Well, hmm let me see... do I hate Jews more then I love blowjobs?.... Tough choice but I think Ill go with the blowjob deal.... except for one alteration: I want to have both at same time"
US Negotiator: "Deal."

She would be elected as a back up to the oldest presidental candidate, who has had cancer five times and refuses to release his current medical records. SO, I think what Surm was suggesting and I agree with, is that just for shits and giggles...let's take a closer look at a potential Palin presidency.
Secondly, John McCain is not a maverick. He may or may not have been, but what he is now is a sycophantic follower of Bush and has been for eight years. THAT IS NOT MAVERICK.
I would also like to ask, why does everyone assume McCain knows how to fight and win a war? Did he fight in one very long? Did he ever win one? Did he ever make high ranking strategic decisions in a war?
NO.
The only conflict the fucker fought in......we lost.
Exactly. Being a POW doesn't make you experienced in military strategy. McCain is a farce.
