I'm seriously considering dumping most of my clothes and replacing them with a standard type of clothing. For instance I currently have one type of sock - that way matching them isn't a problem. When they wear I throw the lot out and buy about 20 new ones.
I'm thinking of standardising on the following outfit to wear all the time.
Footwear - has to look like formal shoes for getting into nightclubs, but be comfortable.
Socks - white, cotton.
Trousers - All blue jeans of the "Dingo" brand (cheap and pretty decent)
Underwear - All boxer shorts - considering choosing a certain design - I love my US flag boxers so something like that.
Shirt - White, possibly sleeveless shirt. Formal looking and ironed
Tie/Bow - No idea of whether to start wearing one. I love the look, but don't want to look like a douche.
Jacket - I'm thinking something longish and black, that looks kinda formal.
Headgear - I don't know, maybe. Thinking cowboy hat or something.
Anyway, would wearing the same thing every single day make me look weird, or would it make me recognisable? I don't think many people would even notice. I'm in college, and want to be an accountant. Cheapness and ease of use are my two major concerns with clothes.
It would make you recognisable as the guy who wears the same clothes everyday

Are you trolling? That outfit is the worst of the worst, and yes, you will look weird.
like those cartoon characters that always seem to wear the same thing.
i wouldn't mind standardizing everything except shirts. shoes, no one looks at. socks, no one sees. boxers as long as they are clean. jeans can be worn day in day out for weeks (and get more and more comfortable the less often you wash em). shirt is the only thing people notice. not many people own too many jackets. don't wear a cowboy hat with a bow tie however.

I use a less strict wardrobe. Camo or black denim trousers, dark shirts (black or grey, but I'm thinking of getting a brown one), most of the time I don't wear underwear (I've got these choco-chip desert camo trouser with buttons instead of a zip, it makes the wind feel nice). I never wear anything that isn't plain (other than the camo). I guess I look pretty distinct compared to stuff everyone around me wears, but it's important not to wear the same stuff every single day (and I think it's a sign of high functioning autism).

I understand what you're trying to, although I wouldn't standardize EVERYTHING you wear... Recently, I wanted something nice and chill to fall back on when I didn't feel like dressing up, so I went to Old Navy and got about six different plain, soft-colored, small, v-neck shirts for around thirty dollars. Other than the fact that I was going through a little phase of minimalism at the time, I found I had six extra shirts, particularly for when I'd normally run out, I had six different colored undershirts, and I had something plain to wear that still looked nice on those days I woke up like "meh." In a sense I had standardized my wardrobe on these very comfy v-necks.
The point is: You might want to invest in some of those things you listed to wear occasionally, or to integrate into what you're already wearing. But you will get VERY bored wearing a default outfit all the time....I like to wear clothes according to my mood, but sometimes if you buy enough of the same clothing, it DETERMINES your mood for you.
