This Tuesday, I hope you will vote out Nancy Pelosi. Think about it... has she made you proud or as she made you angry? When is the last time she has actually spoken to you and your community? Does she truly represent you in Government? Has she delivered any of her promises from 2006 that really affects you?

When you honestly answer these questions, you may realize that she is no different than her peers who criticize "San Francisco values".

She was against the 700 billion dollar looting operation. She stalled it, at least. That's worth something.

No district would ever vote out the speaker of the house. Pelosi has been in the house for much longer than two years. The people in her district like her and the fact that she is speaker now only increases her appeal.

She has consistently gone against the doucebaggery and their war, why vote against her?

I think its something about how she doesn't really talk to her constituency much. There are actually a fair number of people in her district who don't appreciate it. Either way I really don't care if she stays or goes, if shes the best she'll stay but if there's someone else better hopefully he or she will get elected instead.

Not that I can vote in that election, but I have to ask - who are the alternatives? The only one I can recall is Cindy Sheehan, because she's made such a public tool of herself.

If that's your only option, Pelosi's about as good as you get.

Are you sure about that? They are out protesting in front of her house in Marin and her office in San Francisco everyday. Vizualizer is correct. She doesn't even talk to her constituency anymore because of the constant protests. I'm not even sure if she ever even comes home from Washington DC. If she does, she does a very good job of staying out of sight.

Other available candidates for Iehovah:

1. Philip Z Berg - Libertarian
2. Cindy Sheehan - Non-Partisan
3. Dana Walsh - Republican

From www.choosepeacenow.us :

Sadly, both the Democrat and Republican parties have supported the disastrous war in Iraq and Nancy Pelosi, 8th District incumbent candidate, has stood "shoulder to shoulder" with them. She:

* Failed to lead any opposition to the vote to give President Bush the authority to wage wars of his choosing.
* Voted for the Patriot Act.
* Voted to fund the war in Iraq.

When Tim Russert asked her "Do you think that the situation with Iraq is a distraction from the war on terrorism?", her reply was "I don't think it's a disaster--I mean, any decision--I don't question a decision of the president of the United States on his timing or on the priority he gives a threat."

Her web site contains no position statements and she has refused to respond to Project Vote Smart's position survey or attend debates with the other candidates.

Can Nancy Pelosi be trusted to lead the nation out of Iraq?

Yes I know "ZOMG!!! LEEBERTARYAN PARTEEE IZ KRAZEEEE!!!" But one Libertarian in a sea of Democrats and Republicans won't make a difference. What will make a difference is booting the House Speaker giving Congress a clear message that we really do not approve of their work. Unless we do something like this, they'll only listen to polls that are exclusive to what may probably be a bunch of retired people on LAN lines. The old farts have had their time, its time for our generation to take control of this country. We understand modern times... they don't.

You know who I'd like to vote out? Feinstein. Fuck that woman, she's been nothing but corrupt and hypocritical.

Nobody's going to beat Nancy Pelosi in this election though. She's way too popular with the right people for any opposition to have a chance.

She definitely wasn't opposed to it. In fact her and all other party leaders (because let's face it, Repubs and Dems are the same now when it comes to most issues regarding the recession) forced their party rank and file to ignore their constituents wishes and vote for Bush and Paulson's bailout.

Fuck Pelosi. Anyone who can vote in her district would be doing the nation a favor to remove this woman from our government.
