Do any of you in here like to watch NASCAR? I think it's good.

"They're making another left turn! They're making another left turn! Oh look, they're making another left turn! I wonder what they're gonna do next?"

I've watched it a few times and the worst of it involved Jeff Gordon whining after every race about how he should've won but didn't because he's a suck-ass pussy.

Seriously, fuck NASCAR.

That comes from no surprise from you, you wouldn't know fine taste unless it ran up behind you kicked you upside your motherfuckin head. Or unless it was in the "thirty dollar barrel" at your local firearms dealer, which it wouldn't be.

as a british long-time fan of motorsport, i just can't see the appeal of nascar
apart from endurance, wheres the skill? whats the point?
the cars are boring and ugly
the only upside of it i can see are potentially massive crashes

nascar is perhaps the most boring "sport" ever. i think i would rather watch baseball than nascar. at least baseball has the occasional variety to it.

Nascars fucking retarded.

I'd rather watch cyclists in a velodrome, more skill involved.

Id take NASCAR over golf ANY DAY OF THE FUCKING WEEK.

Watching NASCAR on tv sucks, but when you are at the event, its a whole different story. I LOVE being there. The smell of the fuel, the sound of the race cars, and the women make it awesome.

Personally, I'll pass. No brainer, it's way more exciting to be a driver than someone who watches others drive.

Nascar's OK, personally I'm more of a fan of course racing such as Le Mans or Indy. The fact that NASCAR drivers average like 180+ MPH in one race is pretty respectable, though.

Oh, and fuck all of you who can't understand the glory and kick-assness of racing.

Nascar is not that cool.

1. all the cars, are exactly the same

2. the track is always exactly the same

The only variance in the whole sport is the drivers, who aren't even nearly as skilled as say, f1 drivers.

I would like to see a version of nascar, with actual road cars. Barely any modification. Like, the team has, say $30,000 to buy a car, and maybe even $5,000 to do a couple light mods, supercharger and tires, suspension and such. AND NO SPEED LIMITS. That is what pisses me off about nascar, they have limits on how fast a car can go. So every car in the race is pretty much driving as fast as it mechanically can for the entire race.

They could even have classes, like $30,000 car with $5,000 mods, $50,000 car and $10,000 mods, and $120,000 car all stock.

I just think that would be way more interesting than the same cars on the same track, it would introduce a good rivalry for types of cars, like you'd have the all honda team, the all american team and such, and it'd be good for advertisement of cars and shit. Plus, it'd just be way cooler to see a bunch of different cars racing each other. You could actually stay awake for that race.

And of course, the race wouldn't last like three fucking hours. Thats just retarded.

.

First off most races involve cars that are similar because otherwise it wouldn't be a very fair race would it. Sure it might be a little interesting seeing a Porsche beat the crap out of a Mercedes but that's not the point of racing. The cars they use in nascar are all built basically from the ground up by the teams, if any two teams in the world could build identical cars without alot of communication between them i'd like to see it. When you say the tracks are the same your ignorance is blinding. Explain to me how a two mile track is the exact same as a half mile track. Also all tracks have different banking, shapes, pit areas, pavement types, and widths. Watch a race at Charlotte then watch Daytonna and tell me you watched the same race. Teams literally build cars for specific race tracks, if they were all the same why would they waste their money? As for F1, if their drivers are so talented why don't they come dominate NASCAR. Because they can't. It's completely different driving a car engineered completely for down force such as F1 than driving a NASCAR car. I'm a fan of NASCAR, i don't catch as many races as i would like, but i just think it's hilarious to hear idiots bash it. If you don't know what you're talking about shut the fuck up. It's not a multi-billion dollar industry for no reason.

yea nascar might be watchable if the races were shorter. IRL and F1 are pretty cool to watch though.

I absolutely detest watching baseball, so boring, with equally boring commentators. At least with NASCAR there is always a few crashes, with the possibility of a HUGE crash, and I love to watch crashes, they fucking rule.

As for playing, I enjoy playing baseball, and I have never played NASCAR, so I cannot comment on that.

I'm not going to get too deep into this argument. But I will say this.

Your comment here is completely rebuked by the record of one Juan Pablo Montoya.

F1 wins: 7 (competing against the most successful F1 driver of all time.)

NASCAR (top tier/sprint) wins: 1

montoya was in F1? i thought he was only in IRL before he moved to nascar. he was a damn good IRL driver.

oh aces high, F1 drivers are probably the most skilled drivers out of any major race league. you say why cant F1/IRL drivers come over to nascar and dominate? well, why dont nascar drivers go over to F1/IRL and try that? cus they would get embarrassed cus they would suk so bad.
