I really need new trainers, unfortunately the only shoes I particularly like are white canvas ones. Here's the problem, white canvas shoes + english winter = trench foot + no more shoes.

The obvious option is a similar kind of shoe but in leather, something like http://www.allsaintsshop.co.uk/product/?searchtext=&area=F&category_id=221&page=1&all=1&position=18&prod_desc_id=5051214368665

The only thing is they're much more expensive than I'd like. Anyone got any alternative suggestions? I refuse to get any Fred Perry trainers because the current pair I had wore out after 3 months. Fuck that shit.

I need something durable (ie not canvas), but that looks good to go out on nights wearing. I prefer shoes that are close fitting to the foot. Bulky skate shoes look stupid. Also nobody suggest doc martins, they do not look good.

since you are in the U.K try and have a look at some ask the missus shoes, ive got a ton of them and they make up about 70% of my casual shoes aswell as having some of the smarter ones, office stocks them and they arent too expensive either.

Are you talking boots boots or dress boots?

All Saints is my favourite shop dude I have a jumper, cardigan and 2 t-shirts from there. Next i'm getting a leather jacket/jeans from All Saints. Ehhh... I know you won't like these and they look ugly in pics (as do most trainers) but i've had these trainers (can pass as shoes, I guess) for over a year, and my trainers usually wear out in about 3 months, too. 1 if I wear them clubbing. But anyways, yeah these have last me over a year and don't have a scratch on them, I wear them clubbing every weekend, and there 100% waterproof. Possibly the comfiest trainers ever. Pic (http://i1.iofferphoto.com/img/item/599/461/31/o_uvzUIUzbk9RGjlr.jpg). They come in all sorts of colours, they retail for about £165. Honestly, anyone with a pair of Pradas will know just how comfortable/durable they are (I can't stress this enough).

UK English colloquialism for sneakers.

Lol, that is dumb as hell.

I guess you call them sneakers because you use them to 'sneak' around in, right?

As apposed to trainers that you wear when doing sports training.

I roll around in a pair of leather boots like this:

They are comfy as fuck and handle snow well.

Up here, it rains much more than it snows, so I usually wear a pair of leather sneakers with quite a thick sole. Keeps my feet dry, and they won't fall apart when it does snow

Actually I was like something is off, as I have the high top patent leather ones that I bought from neiman's.
I looked at my shoes and noticed mine we're stitched.
