Enochian Magic

Does anyone use this or actually know anything about it. I have found a lot of stuff on google about it, but I believe the majority of it is B.S.

Enoch was very close to God, so I have often wondered if this type of "magic' would be OK even though one were a Christian.

I have also wondered if Enochian magic has been warped since it's original use and was wondering if anyone here has studied this subject and could help.

I am interested in a serious discussion if anyone wants to talk about it.

Everything about it I have read point to it being very real. I have never actually used it, as evocation is a bit complicated for beginners.

It really doesn't have much of anything to do with Enoch, other than John Dee and Enoch were apparently speaking to the same entities.

It hasn't been warped significantly, to my knowledge, but The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn had a tendency to just pick and choose parts of Dee's diaries they would use.

Out of ignorance, I don't think the church would approve of you doing ANYTHING even loosely magical. Your right though, John Dee was a very religious man.

Enochian Magick works, but I'd say you'd have to develop your psychic abilities first in order to be able to scry or just go into the Astral plane to explore.

Initiation into Hermetics by Franz Bardon is a good way to start practicing this to improve psychic techniques.

Simply right click and hit "Save link as". Jump to the Magic Mental and Psychic training. I believe these to be some the most important steps. If you get a good understanding of this book, then I'm pretty sure you'd be able to step up to the task of performing Enochian Magick. All it takes is practice. Another ritual you might want to learn first also is the LBRP, it's a great way to start getting use to doing ritual work.
