I got a virus or trojan or something that, in my documents folder created a shortcut to itself with a folder called "New Folder". And in "New Folder" it has all the same items that my documents has, including "New Folder". And I was running AVG and it detected a trojan in my documents folder which means there is a never ending supply of this trojan in these folders with in a folder.

Does anyone have any info on a virus or anything that would do something like this?

If you installed GNU/Linux (http://gnewsense.org) you would never get any viruses.

It's the infamous New Folder.exe virus/worm i presume.
Anyway, get yourself Kaspersky Rescue Disk and boot into it and run a full system scan using it. hopefully it will take care of your problem.

Good Luck.

And ditch AVG using Avira is possible.(it's free)

I found this. It has links to 2 removal tools that might help.

lol headphone connector?

Which one? Mini plug (about 1/8th inch [3.5 mm] diameter) or normal (1/4 inch diameter)?

Most computers use the minis, but there are some that use the normal ones.
