I'm just wondering if anyone has found a way yet for us simple Canadians to watch the episodes on Comedy Central's website, and ABC's "full episode player" on their site. I'm sick of not being able to watch the programming on american networks that i pay to watch (on satellite) and i don't the shared advantage of watching them online. fuck the system, lets hack this shit.

the only way i could think of doing it would be somehow making it look like i'm visiting from a computer or ISP in the states, but I've not the foggiest on how to do that.

help from the wiser would be appreciated.

I used to do this for Hulu.com. It's a simple process.

You just need to use a proxy that's based in the US. Go to www.proxy.org, and filter by country.

Downside to that though, is that the proxies are generally quite shit, and don't always allow flash/javascript.

Your other option is to use a program that routes traffic through the US. Tor would work, but I used something else. I can't remember the name of it right now, got it on another machine. I'll post the name of the program, once I've booted up.

dont waste your time with tor, the bandwith is extremely limited. Just buy socks or http proxies that you can route all your traffic through. Pm me if u need more help. Try looking for your self first though.

Tor wouldn't even be secure if you allowed Flash or javascript or java to execute, anyways. A one-hope proxy in the US is your best option, since you don't actually want anonymity.
