Forgive me if I should have posted this somewhere else....Alot of the time when i'm sleeping, i'll have dreams in which i am taking acid/shrooms, weed, extacy, whatever...sometimes the placebo works so well that for the first few minutes after i wake up, i think that i am still high on whatever i took. Does this happen to anybody else? It blows my mind that your brain can create chemicals to mimick a high...dont hate on this i have feelings too:( lol

Have you ever taken any of the aforementioned drugs?

I've had a few dreams about taking acid, always been in the middle of the night so I haven't woken up from them .. never had acid before but would really like to ....

This might go in headshrinkers but who cares. I have had the same thing happen to me! I just kinda said fuck trying to make sense of it all, no need to worry others, and moved on with my life, i told a co-worker about it an his only response was that's when you know you've been smoking too much weed.... Its happened with marijuana and shrooms the most, and now ecstasy since iv tried it once. I have woken up before and still felt high, like I can see everything in my room and I know I am laying in my bed, this is when I start hallucinating, and in my mind I believe I DID do the drug, the best way I can describe the feeling I had is like when your trippin on shrooms, and you smoke weed. Which I have done together so I know what it feels like. I actually got up, looked at my phone and shit, and just went to lay back down. I have never woke up during a dream when I did ecstasy, but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened. I haven't given it much of a chance seeing as how the first time I did X was last month, and im taking month long breaks before I even consider doing it again. People are probably going to think im bullshitting but im not.

I think the reason for this is, you know what the drug feels like if you have done it previously, you have a dream that your doing the drug, you get high in your dream, dreams can feel very real..

This is interesting, maybe someone could lucid dream, do a drug, and make themselves wake up...?? I think its very possible.

Thiss only happens to me when I really want to take the drug I dream of.
Like if I wan to take acid one day but don't end up doing it, I dream about it.

I've never had it happen but all your feelings are caused by your brain, with or without your body being present. I've never thought it too far fetched that one could instigate consciously the effects of a drug or a certain feeling one's had. Sub-consciously too in the sense of a dream.

A lot of my friends have talked about "trippin balls on shrooms last night in a dream" when they haven't taken them before.

Again, I don't put it past your brain to extrapolate on all the knowledge you have of something again, both consciously and subconsciously. Everything you hear/see/sense/understand/extrapolate/ everything you can do is registered subconsciously. That's why neuroscientists can work with a brain surgeon, poke someones brain literally with a piece of metal, and have the patient hear all of Beethoven's 9th symphony even though they can't consciously recall half of the symphony.

It's all cool shit.

Yeah now that you mention that, thats what happens to me. When i quit oxy almost a year ago i would dream every night of either doing Oxy or trying to get Oxy; when i hadnt taken E in a while i dream that i'm rolling. Damn...i guess i need to drop some acid lol.
It's really crazy when you wake up and you're high though, and you're fooled into thinking you took some drug at some place. Imagine if the chemicals that cause this in your brain could be controlled just based on memory....free drugs. whoa.

I have tried to get high in dreams but it never seems to work. Iv never smoked so much as a ciggarette in a dream despite having been smoking for 9 years now and although I sometimes get "dream cravings" for cigs, beer or drugs it always results in an imensely weird and frustrating, almost feindish chase that gets me nowhere.

The last time I stopped smoking pot for a couple months about halfway through my hiatus I had a dream where I smoked and it felt pretty real while I was dreaming it.

If you do drugs in your dreams it will be just like how you imagine the high to be like. Of course you can get any kind of high in your dreams without even having to take any drugs, and just cut to the chase.

This.

Just this morning I was dreaming of rolling a nice blunt and smoking it, I wasn't too disappointed when I woke up because I am getting an eighth in about 30 minutes. :D

Back when I was doing acid on a more regular basis I distinctly remember having a dream where I say "Woah, the acid is dropping" and everything in the dream starts melting around me, way more intense than any real acid trip i've had.

I've dreamt, many times, of snorting/shooting cocaine.

ever considered trying lucid dreaming? once you realize your dreaming you can do whatever you like really...

making things out of nothing isn't easy but not impossible for most....

I can relate to that, I have dreams where I will score some H and not be able to find a needle. Or get some oxy without anything/anywhere to crush it.

"A lucid dream can begin in one of two ways. A dream-initiated lucid dream (DILD) starts as a normal dream, and the dreamer eventually concludes that they are dreaming, while a wake-initiated lucid dream (WILD) occurs when the dreamer goes from a normal waking state directly into a dream state with no apparent lapse in consciousness."
I really can't decide which of these i have. I think ill begin dream journals

The WILD is more commonly known as "astral projection".
