A free base ritalin?

Would the process be the same as free base coca? also anyone know of good extraction to remove binders and stuff?

Ritalin is water soluble, so if you grind the pills into absolute powder, you can just mix it with water and filter it. With the remaining ritalin-water, if you add base, say, sodium hydroxide, in the right proportions, you could probably end up with a freebase ritalin.

This is actually quite interesting to me. I've been thinkiing about freebasing and smoking methylphendate for a while now. I'd suspect that you'd also have to clean the product a bit more before free basing it if you wanted a clean product though. Stupid noob or some other decent chemist might be able to help with the cleaning process some more.

The pills i'd be dealing with include: Cetyl alcohol, Ethyl cellulose, anhydrous lactose, magnesium stearate, opadry Y-1-700 (containing hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, polyethylene glycol 400, titanium dioxide (E-171))

Can anyone give me some tips on cleaning this up? Is anhydrous acetone any good? Would the free base's decomp/vaporisation temps be sufficiently different to be able to vape it even? I can't find a MSDS for free base, only the HCl salt.

Yes, I'm quite aware that Ritalin isn't a "real" drug, or whatever other bullshit you have to say, but i'm interested in triyng this. Different ROA's have different effects in other drugs, and this may be the same.
