So I went to track down some street nug, and the guy wanted me to hand him the funds so he could comeback with it. I concluded that it would be too great of a risk to hand him my 20 seeing as it's all my cash for a while, and went on searching. Would any Totseans take that risk or just find someone with "it" on them? I dont know if every street dealer is so shady cause usually bought from friends.

It's never a wise idea, but you could end up in a sticky situation if you tell them how much you want and you have the money on you. You did do the right thing by not giving him the money because in all likelihood he would've just snatched it.

That's the oldest trick in the book and you should never be stupid enough to fall for it.

You say you've never bought off anyone besides your friends? Just scrap this plan now; the chances of you actually winding up with your $20 of product and/or all your teeth intact has about the same odds as me winning tonight's lottery.

try explaining the situation to him, put him in your shoes. say you gotta go with him. if that isnt cool, then something i would always do is collateral. have them give them something of theirs that would make them come back to you, such as a cellphone.
