Did you ever think that body art is important in other religions, pagan especially, and as such, was deemed unholy by the authors of the bible, or leaders of the church?

I have yet to see any evidence that "Satan" existed before the Vatican.

A lot of society embraces values that are similar to [Laveyan] Satanism without realizing it, namely egotism and materialism.

Not to mention you completely misunderstood the "mark of the beast."

This is undoubtedly speaking of a persons name you can find with Gematria not body modifications.

Calling piercings and tattoos the work of "Satan" is just fear of others beliefs.

But.........

Satan existed in the bible before the Vatican.

He existed in the Old Testament, whilst Rome was still worshiping Mithra and Jupiter. Read Job or Chronicles in the OLD TESTAMENT for example.

Satan is a force that exists in the universe.

He's not a personality.

A force.

Kind of like gravity.

Unlike gravity we can't measure, see or interact with this force at all.

Satan was created to personify all of what the creators of the Abrhamic religions deemed detrimental to the success of their religion.

Satan is what L. Ron Hubbard would have created 5000 years ago, instead of the thetan implant.

Personally, I find the authors of the bible to be better at writing fiction than Mr. Hubbard.

I've seen "Satan".

Hell, I saw him today.

He's an active force in my life.

The scope of what this universe contains is far beyond the imagination and definitely far beyond modern so called scientific thought.

Sinz's point seems to be at best irreverent in nature. Things like body art and and tattoos are evil from his perspective, and his perspective is no more valid than that of other humans who have valued these arts as cultural norms for millenia, such as the Polynesians.

And as for Rizzo, not even the Pope would agree with you. John Paul II himself said that Hell is not a real place, but a state of mind, and thus he meant likewise for Satan. I think we can all get past Medieval concepts of religion.

I would not say it is beyond imagination. Someone imagined a God, soul and afterlife, which pretty much explains the whole thing.
