So it turns out the only known script that doesn't cost $800 hasn't been significantly updated in as many as 8 years. There was one fork on GitHub with one commit 3 years ago along side a few from 5 years ago that added support for a newer version of PHP. IF this script works we're not in bad shape....

I did it. I ordered vBulletin. When I have more of an idea how hard it's going to actually be to make it work I will let you know more. Please stay tuned.
