archive.org in general has a nice variety of novelties, just don't start putting fresh warez onto it and it's all good.
I tend to use it for books, the loaning book function is amazing to get DRM'd books to then DeDRM them.

I think the definition will slowly shift as more of the people who were active in the retro scene over the last handful of years start fading out too, and other folks pick up the torch from that point.
