Starting this thread off FOR 24 HOURS ONLY:

Total War Saga: TROY!
The newest release in the Total War Saga, free for anyone that notices!
"In this legendary age, heroes walk the earth. In an act that shocks the world, audacious Paris, prince of Troy, elopes with the beautiful queen of Sparta. As they sail away, King Menelaus curses her name. He vows to bring his wife home – whatever the cost!"

Hosted by Epic, apart from their usual weekly game dump.
https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p ... dated=true

Which brings us to...

Epic's weekly game dump! This time they open their free-vaults to give us all our very own digi-copies of...

Remnant: From the Ashes:
"The world has been thrown into chaos by an ancient evil from another dimension. As one of the last remnants of humanity, you must set out alone or alongside up to two other survivors to face down hordes of deadly enemies to retake what was lost."

https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p ... ashes/home

The Alto Collection:
"Across the endless desert and atop an alpine expanse two journeys full of wonder await. Choose your path and set off on a thrilling snowboarding or sandboarding adventure with Alto & friends."

https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p ... ction/home

I considered buying Remnant awhile back so I could have a coop game to play with people but ended up not getting it for whatever reason. I'm looking forward to giving it a try, as well as giving TWS a try (never played any of them, even though I got another one for free on Steam awhile back!) I might be down to try out Remnant with others on here sometime if it turns out to be a good game!

Are any of you excited about these games? Remember, TWS is only free for 24 hours. However, the other two games should be a part of Epic's weekly dump and will remain available until next THURSDAY. No real reason to wait that long to claim them, but you have time!

I plan on updating this with new games occasionally. I'll probably skip over little indie games you could get for like $1 or some shit that clutters places like Indiegala, but I'll definitely be dropping the Epic stuff long as I remember/care to, and any "bigger" games that drop on GoG, Steam, etc.

Not much happened between last week's EGS Dump and this week's, so we're back with the ever reliable weekly dump.

This week Epic is offering us two games:

Enter the Gungeon
"Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon crawler following a band of misfits seeking to shoot, loot, dodge roll and table-flip their way to personal absolution by reaching the legendary Gungeon’s ultimate treasure: the gun that can kill the past."

https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p ... dated=true

God's Trigger
"Slay enemies with speed and precision in an over-the-top show of blood and explosions. Play solo or with others, make split-second decisions, dodge bullets, and use weapons and abilities to inflict violence in the most graphic way possible."

https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p ... dated=true

I might start dropping the tags and stuff that define the games, too, when I update with new ones. I'm kinda lazy tho.

I kickstarted this game a while ago and none of my friends who play DnD are interested in getting it. I had 3 keys and gave away one already taking one for myself. Anyone want the last key? You just load it through steams 3rd party software tab.

Holy SHIT that is the EXACT game I have been looking for for like 16 years now.

DND has always interested me, and I've played at like Marscon, but suck at planning things like that.

Imma look more into it

Soooo, do you want the key? It's not really a game, its more like a virtual game table. There are other virtual table top systems but not nearly as good as this one in my opinion.

Yeah, after reading the FAQ and such I think once it's a full game it'll be amazing.

Finally, the stream of free games outside of Epic continues! There were a lot at the start of the pandemic and then they all died down.

Here is Serious Sam on GoG. I'd say/link more but my internet is being shite and isn't loading much.

So here's the giveaway link, Serious Sam itself should be somewhere on that page.

Old GoG games have DRM free settings. Like if you enjoyed the old TSR dungeons and dragons games you can just give your account settings to a friend and have him download your entire library. I don't know if that still works for everything though, I don't go on GoG much anymore after they basically turned into steam.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick. I've wanted Farcry 3 since launch.

Farcry link doesn't work for me. It asks for a CD key.

Disregard, you have to claim it via mobile for it to bypass that check.

This Thursday's free game from Epic is:

Into The Breach
Control powerful mechs from the future to defeat an alien threat. Each attempt to save the world presents a new randomly generated challenge in this turn-based strategy game from the makers of FTL.

https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p ... dated=true

Apparently this is a rerun of a previously free game, because I somehow own it already??? Anyway, enjoy, those of you who don't have it yet.

So it's actually pretty cool. It's more like HL2 Maker. At first I thought it was dumb, but I tried it for a while and could see some really cool indy things happening with it once it gets better.

I don't think so. Free to play games are the best games.

Think of TF2. It's completely free, so anyone can try it without spending a dime. But, if you want the full experience, you pay. If the whole game is free, there will be less budget and less updates (yeah TF2 isn't updated but still) and less content.

If it costs money the whole way round, then less people will play it, and the company has to really nail said game

Well I mean if you REALLY want free games just jump on the torrents. GoG is DRM free so you don't even get hindered by a cracked game.

Digital rights management if I remember correctly. DRM free software is software with no copywright protection on it. GoG (good old games) was famous for putting out a bunch of their stuff DRM free.

Back in the day if you had a Gamefly membership they would email you the serial number for the game you were playing, so if you really wanted to you could save them to a text file, cancel your subscription, then download the legit game and have a working key. I used it as a pay-to-win keygen for a year or two.

Some things such more than others. Like I had the Totse rap where it's just 2 and a half minutes of user names strung together to make a legit song.
