Just picked up a semi-decent retro-rig

It's juuuust new enough that I'll be able to play games well into the mid 2000s if I so choose, but old enough that I'll be able to enjoy games from the late 90s when they stopped using DOS as a base. I'll try to keep threads going with my experience.

Are you using dosbox? You can do a lot of retro stuff with a 30 dollar pi.

I was using Dosbox, yeah, but this is real hardware that I got for free. The biggest cost was the spindle of CDs for $11. Dosbox is okay, but it can't do games that REQUIRE Windows, and Wine blows for anything that requires, say, Dotnet2 or other similar updates that are no longer available
