Cyberpunk 2020 pen and paper game

Just played my first Cyberpunk 2020 pen and paper game of the current year 2020. I must say when I started this game 25 years ago, I thought we would be further along. Back in the 80s there was a pie in the sky view about the 2000s that never lived up to it's own standards. Now we just have really cool phones.

Not sure if this should go here.

You mean like D&D but in a cyberpunk setting, yeah? And the year is 2020?

I think it's neat how far along people thought we'd be. Like, look at Space 2001.

That's pretty cool, I could see myself getting into that if I had people to play with.

It would be hard to get into now. It's out of print. There's a new version of it coming out soon though, 2077 if I remember correctly. It's what the new computer game is based on.

Ah. Aren't some of the out of print DM books worth a ton?

Maybe but I'm not sure what you mean by a ton. Some old 3.5 books are out of print so even used books can sell for the price of a new one. It's possible some old chainmail books are worth a bit but I've never looked.

Yeah that first one is just a rare print. The second one is a collectors edition from 2012 that they reprinted. The second one is about 65 dollars MSRP anyway so it's not a big jump in price. If you were a superfan or a collector I'd say getting original chainmail books or Gygaxs' notes would be pretty pricey.

Noted. So there's not, like, some game breaking rule change between editions or something
