I know this sounds fucking stupid but I think if we just give Wariat a shot at making a new background for newtotse.com then this place might really take off.
He already knows what kinda stuff we like and what we are about.
If anyone should get a chance at making a new background I petition that it should be Wariat before it ends up just something off google images.
Imma go ahead and reach out to Wariat and see what he thinks about it.

I messaged Wariat myself just now and told him it's not me making the request, and that I will not be using anything he designs before he wastes on time on it.

the icons can be varied more from just a human face as I havent exported the others i already made yet out of older designs.

the top icon can go higher in the bottom version.

What do you mean by it won't tile correctly? Like the tile is not displaying right and you can't modify it to it right? like I said, in that case ai an make it smaller or change angle, etc. Of the gray image background.

Not going to happen. Do you have any idea how long a background image over 1mb takes to load on slow connections? The current background image is 3Kb. That's it.

Plus the current one tiles correctly.

I could resize it I already have to about 100k and have beious variations. I can also make the balls all around so the pop up look almost 3d on the background.

When you tile in WordPress at least you can move the image would or seize it to get it the way you want it.

Or how bout adding the ball of smaller sizes on the left and right sides and the triangle in between?

Why?

For so many reasons:

- I'm not trying to pretend this is anything but a continuation of Totse
- Nobody has presented me with anything even REMOTELY acceptable as a background image
- A new background image means a COMPLETELY new CSS to match

The only even remotely possible way any additional styles will be added are if someone digs up the original UBB theme, the official Zoklet theme, and the official Red Fern theme.


Please know too, any chance there was at a unique style got killed by this thread. I stated right off the bat I wasn't on board, got presented with something that is absolutely LAUGHABLE in terms of quality, told the designer what exactly I didn't like about it, and got presented with even worse designs.

I am checking out of this thread now. Feel free to discuss this further. I will not be a part of it.

Dude I had to register just to say those are some ugly backgrounds, and the fact there's an obvious ass cut off between each square of the design is just so jarring. I can see why AngryIVer is saying what they are lmao.

i remember it only cuz i found redfern icon.png and was like wtf is this and took me forever to find out wtf the logo was even off. 3 more drives to go, with that seized 1tb abused drivee
