Recently I was faced with a space issue, and decided to use the hooks for a flatscreen TV stand, and use them to mount a TV on the wall.
All you need to do is cut a 2x4 to fit behind the TV (you will need 2 cut pieces), then put the boards flat against the TV up against the hooks, and mark where they will be, and cut a channel for the hooks to sit in. I used a regular miter saw, leaving a solid section in between so it can't slide either direction. Measure how far they need to be spaced vertically, and mount at a stud. Hang your TV, and enjoy having plenty of spacing for cords.
