The Technophiliacs forum is for discussing any and all forms of tech and other types of social backwardness. Including discussions of strange home-brewed hardware technology. Where to get good tools. iOS 11.2 - 11.3.1 Jailbreak (semi-untehtered)

1) Download the newest version of Electra from this website

2) Download the newest version of Cydia Impactor from this website

3) Open Cydia Impactor on your computer and then plus your phone into your computer (Cydia Impactor should recognize the device)

4) Unlock your deivce

5) Drag and drop the downloaded IPA from Electra's website.
Cydia Impactor will prompt you to enter in your apple ID and password, enter the required information and press enter

6) If Impactor asks you for an app specific password, it means that you have 2 factor authentication turned on for your apple account. To get an app specific password, go here and sign in. After you sign in, find where it says "Generate Password.." and click on that. Give it a fancy name and after that, you will be presented with a bunch of numbers and letters. Copy that into impactor and you are good to go!

7) Impactor will start to download the app onto your device

8) Once done, you can unplug your phone and open the newly installed app

9) If you get an error along the lines of "Unverified Developer" go into your Settings -> General -> Profile and Device Management -> Select your email address and click on trust. You will now be able to open the app

10) Open the app and press "Jailbreak" If the device reboots that means the exploit has failed, open the app again and keep trying until you see the spinning wheel.

11) Once you see the spinning wheel the exploits have succeeded and you are now jailbroken! Enjoy!

NOTE: I had to SSH into my device afterwards and do the uicache command to make Cydia appear. This is SEMI-UNTETHERED, so you will need to re-do the jailbreak after EVERY reboot.
