Below is my description of how I nearly died 3 times in the last 12 months.
1. Eating a meatball sandwich from Subway.
I was eating a meatball sandwich while under heavy influence of cannabis. I was not really chewing the sandwich as I ate it; more gobbling the food up. I ended up with an entire meatball lodged in my throat.
So I couldn't breath.
I started punching myself in the chest and slamming my chest into a door jamb. Reached into my throat multiple times trying to pull it out. Finally got it.
That was awful.
2. Walking to the local hospital to see a mental health counsellor
I had left the house bright and early and about midday ended up heading to the hospital for an appointment. I ended up getting off transit prematurely with the intent of stretching my legs. Maybe 4-5 km of walking on flat terrain. It was boiling.
It was about 35°C that day (or 95°F). I didn't drink enough water. Ended up realizing this as I showed at the hospital. Could not drink water due to heat exhaustion, I guess? Ended up passing out. A paramedic ended up wheelchair-ing me at warp-speed from the psychiatric area to the ER as I passed out.
3. Infection on my neck
I had an infection on my neck.
Day 1-4 was insignificant. I was perma-baked the entire time and the infection just made me feel as if I had a permanent hangover that was becoming continuously worse.
Day 5 I woke up not being able to breath.
Went to the hospital and received 8 hours of IV therapy. And then about 45 minutes every day for 30 days.
I received a needle aspiration biopsy (I think that's the one) and they drained the infection and sampled the bacteria.
Their cultures never grew.

The nurses at the hospital are hot is all I can say. Dude, fuck I need to get out more.
