Migration issues

Post by Enigma » Thu Aug 18, 2022 8:49 pm

So it turns out the only known script that doesn't cost $800 hasn't been significantly updated in as many as 8 years. There was one fork on GitHub with one commit 3 years ago along side a few from 5 years ago that added support for a newer version of PHP.

IF this script works we're not in bad shape. If not in order to migrate to vBulletin we're going to lose the entire phpBB forum.

So far so good, I was able to get the script to run all the way to where it tries to log into vBulletin then it goes 'wtf' to signify I haven't yet told it how to do that.

Only thing that sucks is that the script was written for phpBB 3.0 and we're running 3.3.x, and I'm still not even sure the script will work with vBull5.

Fair warning: The current forum MAY become an archive if I'm unable to transfer posts.
