THE SERVER WILL BE GETTING MOVED THIS WEEKEND SO THE WEBSITE WILL BE DOWN FOR AS MANY AS THREE DAYS. ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED AS IT BECOMES RELEVANT.

So the plan at this point is to bring the server completely offline either Saturday or Sunday. There's a fair amount of shit involved in moving the entire network and configuring it all to work off the new IP, on equipment I'm unfamiliar with as far as the GUI goes. I would anticipate the website being down anywhere from 1-24 hours depending on how nicely the new router decides to play.

So I confirmed the required ports are unlocked so the move should only take an hour on my end. There's a chance the DNS might take a while to update, but I won't know until I pull the trigger

Thank you for being patient during the move.

Oh, and the reason for the extended downtime:

-The server absolutely REFUSED to power back on. Would just sit there power cycling into infinity. Unplugged it, plugged it back in, repeated that 3 times and it just came to life.

-The category 5 was a little more difficult to run than originally anticipated.

-I had other personal matters to take care of during the migration

-By the time I got the server to power on last night Linux wouldn't manage my network card, but today while I was at work it fixed itself somehow

You will experience some slight slowdown between now and when the server re-caches itself.

Can't ask anymore than that. Good work.
