Checked out Gattica staring Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman last night, and although it's a pretty good movie, it's not at all what I expected having only started it and passed out a few times. Basically they spend all this time establishing that it's a utopian distant future, just to have a murder mystery take place where there's somehow a way around DNA evidence. The only parts that make sense as far as how Ethan Hawke's true identity don't get discovered is that in a day and age where DNA testing is instant and common place the handlers are very likely to get complacent instead of wasting time digging.
Best part: Gattica doctor knew all along Ethan Hawke was a borrowed ladder
Worst part: Killed my boner for Uma
Eight. Out of ten.
