What you'll need
  • 16 cups water, divided
  • 6 Lipton® Cup Size Tea Bags or 3 Lipton® Iced Tea Brew Family Size Tea Bags
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. baking soda
Recipe
  1. Bring 4 cups water to a boil over high heat in 2-quart saucepan. Remove from heat; add Lipton® Cup Size Tea Bags and brew 15 minutes, dunking Tea Bags several times. Remove Tea Bags and squeeze.
  2. Stir in sugar and baking soda until completely dissolved. Stir in remaining 12 cups water. Serve in ice filled glasses. Garnish, if desired, with fresh mint and fresh lemon slices.

This will make 1 gallon, so choose an appropriate container. I subbed two cups of water for two cups of ice.

Just tried it and it's pretty much the most perfect sweet tea I've had in a long time. I see now that my error has always been too much sugar.

Just goes to show that no matter how good of a chef you might be there's always room for improvement, and if you aren't sure where you're messing up just look up a recipe.

I only drink milk tea. Im not a big tea drinker. That is unless they're from long island.

Generally I only drink soda, so it's always a welcome change when I find something not terrible for me to drink.

Yes, I know it's loaded with sugar.
