Kitchen knives

Post by Das Troll » Wed Mar 31, 2021 12:55 am

Way back when I got into a sweet living space with zero rent per month, I spent a lot of money on dumb shit. One of the things I bought wasn't so dumb, the Wusthof kitchen knives.

Just 3 knives, the 8 inch chef, the 4 inch paring, and the bread knife, have been constant work horses for me in the kitchen. I've even dropped and split the tip of the chef and the the paring knives (the magnet block was too weak and it just slid off the wall). I just kept sharpening the tip until it basically buffed out. Holds an edge well, easy to sharpen. They are expensive though.

That's usually a good idea. I wish I had good kitchen knives. We got these Chicago Cutlery ones a few years ago and they're pretty "meh" as far as knives go.
