Check your cap and rotor

I just picked up a super clean, low miles (for a truck) 97 GMC Sierra because the kid and his uncles never thought to check the cap and rotor. I had this truck from dead in the driveway to driving down the highway in less than an hour including the jump and other diagnostics.

Thanks, Fona. I still have to do plugs and wires, but so far it runs pretty good. We did all of our weekend running in it yesterday, so I'm fairly confident it's not going to randomly stall and the list of new parts it had when I bought it....


- New Tires
- Brand new fuel pump/sending unit
- New fuel lines
- New brake lines
- New brakes



A little fun fact, this is the 3rd vehicle I've brought back to life just by changing the cap and rotor. Granted the Passat ended up needing a whole new distributor in the end, the cap and rotor were absolutely bad in that car.
