Jailhouse Burrito

Post by AngryIVer » Sat Jun 13, 2020 3:00 pm

Jailhouse Burritos are a staple in any half-decent jail, because they are easy to make with simple to find ingredients. All you need is a Ramen noodle for a base, and your favorite chip.

Crush up the ramen and your chip of choice (Most people use cheetos because they swell), and add just enough water to stir everything up. Wrap it in a towel, let it set for as long as you can stand to wait, and enjoy. You'll know it's done when it's compressed like the contents of a burrito, hence the name.

Things I've done that have worked:
- Instant coffee packets will make it spicy
- Cheetos
- Corn chips
- Sour cream and onion chips
- Chedder chips (they take on a real good sour cream taste)

So you don't heat it at all?

I should have mentioned you use hot water, as microwaves are typically unavailable in a jail setting.

Done for now. I think I'm going to change how the articles work (E107 allows 'Books' and 'Chapters' that would make organization exponentially better)

For some reason the cheetos ruined it last time. I'm wondering if I'm mis-remembering what kind I used to use.

Actually, thinking about it, I wonder if it's because I only used 1 noodle instead of 2 since I added 2 types of chip

What would you trade for such a burrito?

The only thing I ever saw entire burritos get traded for was meth, or prison hooch, as the ingredients added up rather quickly.

Now the individual ingredients, you could sometimes trade a 65 cent noodle for a $4 bar of soap if you found the right person with enough desperation.

In Goodhue County when I was in just being able to contribute to a large burrito often meant being part of a clique and sometimes ensured you wouldn't get your ass beat at the lunch table. That's literally the only thing that kept the couple of chos alive, not that one deserved the hate since he had CSC 3rd degree for fucking a 17 year old while he was 18.
