Modern problems, modern solutions

Post by Das Troll » Mon Aug 31, 2020 12:53 pm

Bullet proof clothing is a thing now. If you live in a city it might be time to drop a few dollary doos on a 3A bullet proof jacket or hoodie.

They used to have a long coat but that one is gone. If anyone has any other sites with decent clothing based body armor, drop them here.

I'd rather die than live in a world where I have to fear getting randomly shot.

It's a sick sad world and its only getting worse. No matter what the 2020 election results are, we are going to see some shit.

Well, I finally "pulled the trigger" and got the IIIA sherpa body armor from bulletproofeveryone. I figure if shit is gonna pop off, it's going to be around election time. You better have something bigger than a .44 mag or a rifle round because it's likely not getting through before I mag dump into the person who shot me.

I don't have shit because I'm a felon and my lovely government has decided that no amount of time will change that.

And actually now that you bring it up, I can't even have body armor.

Whys that? They didn't do any background check when I put in the order for my hoodie.

As a felon in the state of Wisconsin it's illegal to posses body armor.

Well I just got it in today and I'm wearing it now. It took longer than usual to get it out because of the fact that everyone is freaking the fuck out and orders shot through the roof. So what do I think of it? Well lets start off with the Cons first.

Cons:
1.The soft armor is stiff. This will soften and conform to my body with use. Think of a new baseball glove vs a well used one.
2.The stitching is a tad sloppy on the inside where the plates connect to the lining. This can be fixed though with some hand stitching.
3.It's heavy. The higher the bullet proof rating you get the heavier it is. I got 3A so the hoodie is about 10lbs.
4.Bending over causes the front plate to ride up a bit under your chin. Again I think this will be much less of a problem once the plates soften.
5.Long term storage has you laying it flat. If you hang it up the weight of the plates will stretch your shirt.

Pros:
1.It's warm. The plates act as another level of insulation
2.It's low profile. Even with the plates being as stiff as they are it's still barely noticeable that I'm wearing armor
3.Strong outer zipper
4.the soft plates are even on the sides.
5.Even the default sizes fit well.

That's okay, I'll never let it die. Plus when NiS goes down I'm fairly certain they'll come here, as it happened before.
